KenwoodVascular leiomyomas in the uterine cervix: immunohistochemical study of coexistence with endometriosis.
A rare case of a vascular leiomyoma in the uterine cervix is reported. A 31-year-old woman with a large cervicovaginal polyp underwent myomectomy through a vaginal approach. Histologically, the polyp was composed of an intermingled network of smooth muscle cells, typical of vascular leiomyoma. In addition, there was a small focus of endometriosis-like lesions at the top of the polyp. Immunohistochemically, the smooth muscle cells of the vascular leiomyoma were positive for actin and vimentin, but negative for estrogen receptor and progesterone receptor. Endometriosis lesions were positive for estrogen receptor and progesterone receptor, but negative for actin and vimentin. These findings suggest that vascular leiomyoma of the uterine cervix is associated with endometriosis and that such lesions may be a manifestation of endometriosis.Momentum and the Rise of Spotify
Spotify has announced that it has acquired three new artists, one of which is a South African band. Their label, the indie label Machination Music (which was co-founded by Popcaan), has been picked up by Universal Music, the large record label. It seems that they didn’t have the music of their new signings in the catalog, which is likely what allowed them to find a deal with Spotify.
Machination Music was founded by Popcaan, whose band Camp Mulla is one of the artists that has now been added to Spotify’s roster. According to Popcaan, he is “thrilled” about this new development.
Machination Music’s roster includes the hip hop artists Sojah and Black Coffee, as well as Popcaan, who is also the lead singer of Camp Mulla. Their label is one of the only places on the internet where African hip hop artists can be heard, and the fact that they have been scooped up is a victory not only for Machination, but for their artists, and the whole genre of hip hop.
